Birth of MobiFren (2006 - 2008)
- Car-kit - [ 2007 - 2008 ]
At the time, cars equipped with Bluetooth were not common, so there was a high demand for enjoying music from a mobile phone or MP3 player with rich sound through the car audio. Focusing on these market needs, GFT-4000 and GFT-5000 were developed. A unique idea of combining GBF-5000 and GBH-S100, like the GBF-S5100, was applied. Music from the mobile phone is transmitted to the Bluetooth headset, and the transmitted music is delivered to the car audio through an FM transmitter. When listening to music or making a phone call while driving, it is used in a combined form. When leaving the car, the Bluetooth headset can be detached and carried around for use. Of course, for nowadays when most cars have Bluetooth, it's a perfect product for a museum!
- Bluetooth - [ 2007 ]
Following the wireless car pack product utilizing an FM transmitter, a mono headset and a stereo headset applying Bluetooth technology were developed. It was highly evaluated for its portability and convenience through its unique design that unfolds when carried and bends when used, and an auto-lock function that dramatically increases standby time.
- Handsfree -
It is the GFT series, a wireless car pack series released in February 2006, which is the matrix of the current MobiFren. As the first independent product, it was a multi-functional product that converted the audio signal of a mobile phone into an FM frequency and transmitted it wirelessly, allowed listening to music or making hands-free calls through the car radio, and even had a gender function for charging mobile phones.
While participating in various exhibitions such as the CES 2007, CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, the product was promoted. At the same time, the GBH-M100, a Bluetooth headset developed at this time, won the world-renowned iF Design Award in 2009.
GFT-1000 began overseas expansion in 2007 through export supply to ZONDA, a Mexican telecommunications company.
